Anxious, bouncy, shy, or wonderfully chaotic. All welcome.
Fine art dog photography experience for dog lovers in South Devon who want their dog photographed exactly as they are.
More Than Photographs. A Celebration of the Bond You Share
The connection you have with your dog is one of the most precious parts of your life. It deserves to be celebrated properly — not just with a few snapshots, but with fine art portraits you’ll actually hang on your wall and look at for years.
A Pet-Led Experience, Designed Around Your Dog
This isn’t a rushed session in a field followed by a gallery link a week later.
Every session starts with a relaxed Discovery Call so I can understand your dog before we ever meet. I’ll ask about their personality, any triggers, what makes them comfortable, and what you love most about them. Then I’ll design the session around that.
I’ve spent years working with dogs of all temperaments — nervous ones, reactive ones, senior dogs who need a slower pace, and the chaotic ones who just want to play. The goal is simple: let them be themselves and capture the moments that actually look like them.
The result is custom wall art for your home. Not a folder of digital files. Something you’ll see every day.
What Makes This Different
Most pet photography sessions are transactional. You book, you show up, you get a gallery.
Mine works differently.
It’s a full-service experience from the Discovery Call through to finished wall art. That’s why clients tend to come back.
1. PET-LED SESSIONS
Your dog sets the pace. Sniffs, breaks, movement, treats — all of it is part of the experience. Nothing is rushed or forced.
2. EXPERIENCE WITH ALL PERSONALITIES
Anxious? Reactive? A bit shy with strangers? Elderly? I’ve worked with dogs who take time to settle and still created portraits that feel like them.
3. GUIDED EVERY STEP
From the Discovery Call to the Design Appointment, you’ll know exactly what to expect. No pressure, no surprises.
So what does a session with Legacy Hound Studio look like?
YOUR DISCOVERY CALL
A relaxed 20-minute chat about you, your dog, and what you’re hoping for. This is where I learn their quirks and personality so I can plan the session properly. There’s no obligation.
THE PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION
This is the fun part. We take our time in the studio. Your dog can sniff, play, rest, and just be themselves. Sessions are pet-led with no strict time limit. If they need to stay on a lead, that’s fine — it can be edited out later.
THE DESIGN APPOINTMENT
After the session (usually the same day), we look through the images together. You’ll see a slideshow and then design how your favourites will look as finished wall art for your home. No pressure to buy anything.
Your Investment
Your dog’s story deserves more than a quick photo shoot.
The full experience is designed around creating finished wall art for your home. Most clients choose pieces they’ll actually hang and look at every day. Artwork options start at a range that suits different budgets, and payment plans are available. There’s no minimum spend and no pressure to buy anything.
At your Discovery Call I’ll walk you through how everything works and show examples, so you can decide if it feels right for you and your dog.
