A Day in the Studio with a Sneezing Chinese Crested Called Toya
I had the great opportunity to photograph Toya, a beautiful female Chinese Crested, and meet her owner, Sophie.
“Do you ever wonder what it’s like to see a Chinese Crested sneeze?”
Here’s what it looks like.
A shy girl in a calm studio
Toya is a beautiful dog, although slightly timid when she first arrived.
The studio is calm and quiet, with relaxing music playing, and I never rush a dog.
“After a very short while I had eased her into the space, and she settled enough for me to start photographing her.”
I work to the nature of each dog, so with a gentle girl like Toya that meant giving her time and letting her relax into it.
The photographs
Not long after her session, I edited the images, and they came out beautifully. Her wild crest and flowing hair look wonderful in black and white, and the sneeze is my favourite frame of all.
This would make a truly wonderful piece of art on the wall.
Fine art pet photography for your walls
I am a South Devon pet photographer, and my work is fine art pet photography and wall art. The photographs are made to be printed and hung, not left on a phone.
“Toya would make a beautiful quad, a feature wall of four images hung together.”
I have four of her images on a feature wall of my own, so here is what it could look like in a home.
“If you would like to talk about Devon pet photography and a feature wall of your own dog, get in touch to arrange a free discovery call.”
I would love to hear about your dog and talk through your own pet portrait or wall art.
