Hello.
Welcome to Legacy Hound Studio.
Thank you for showing interest — I’d love to book you in for a quick discovery call so we can talk about your dog and the session.
See the Magic Happen in the Studio
For dog lovers who want their dog photographed exactly as they are. Anxious, bouncy, shy, or wonderfully chaotic. All welcome.
Beautiful Pet Photography for a Precious Bond
I’ve felt the depth of this connection with my own dogs, past and present. The bond you share with your pet is precious, and it deserves to be honoured with love and beautiful memories you’ll treasure always.
Sessions Built Around Your Dog’s Comfort and Personality
Everything happens in my Plymouth, Devon studio. There are no outdoor sessions — just a calm, controlled space where we can take our time.
We begin with a proper consultation so I can get to know your dog properly before the camera comes out. I’ll ask about their triggers, their quirks, and what they look like when they’re truly relaxed. From there, the whole session is designed around them.
This is a guided, pet-led experience for pet parents who want something meaningful and lasting, rather than just another set of pictures.
Why This Feels Different
Most pet photography is straightforward: book a slot, arrive, leave with a gallery - This is different.
It’s a full-service experience built around your dog, from our first conversation to the finished artwork you’ll hang on your wall. Everything happens in my Plymouth studio, and that careful, complete approach is why so many clients return.
What you receive is beautiful heirloom artwork made for your home — something you’ll hang on your wall and pause to look at
Over the years I’ve photographed many dogs, including those who were frightened of strangers, those who needed a quieter space, and those in their final months who needed a gentler pace. I know how to read a dog, slow down when it matters, and capture the moments that truly feel like them.
1
Pet-Led Sessions
Your pet sets the pace. Sniffs, pauses, movement — it’s all part of the experience. Nothing is forced, and there are no unrealistic expectations. We simply follow their comfort.
2
Expertise With All Personalities
Whether your dog is anxious, reactive, or shy around strangers, you’re in experienced hands. I’ve photographed dogs who never warmed up to anyone outside their family and still created beautiful, authentic images.

Guided Every Step
You’ll be guided every step of the way — from our first consultation to choosing and designing your artwork. Everything is clear, with no surprises and no pressure.
Every session with Luke at Legacy Hound Studio goes beyond simply taking photographs. It’s about capturing the essence of your pet and the love you share.
In the calm of the Plymouth studio, the experience is kept personal, relaxed, and meaningful.
You’re investing in more than images — you’re creating a lasting piece of your family’s story, a timeless tribute to a bond that will never fade. The artwork we make together is designed to honour that love.
What Does a Pet Photography Experience With Luke at Legacy Hound Studio Look Like?
Consultation - Let’s have a quick chat
We begin by talking about you, your pet, and what you’re hoping for, to make sure we’re the right fit.
Every pet is different, and so is every story. This is my chance to learn about their quirks, the things they love, and what you adore about them, so I can start picturing how we’ll capture their unique personality and shape a session around them.
The Photogrpahy Session
This is the enjoyable part. Let your dog simply be a dog while we play, pose, cuddle, and laugh together. I’ll focus on capturing their personality and the connection you share, and the session stays completely led by them.
In the studio there’s no need for a lead, and they don’t have to sit still. Everything remains relaxed, with breaks for sniffs, treats, and belly rubs whenever they need them.
The Reveal and artwork design
We finish in the viewing lounge, where you’ll see the images we’ve created and choose the perfect way to turn these memories into tangible artwork for your home.
You’ll watch a slideshow of you and your pet, then design how your favourites will look as custom wall art or keepsakes.
Your Investment
Your pet’s story deserves more than a quick "photo shoot".
The Signature Portrait Session is a guided, personalised experience designed to capture them just as they are — curious, playful, or calm. It’s built around finished artwork for your home, not digital files and decisions left for later.
The session fee is £350, which includes a £150 credit toward your artwork. Most clients invest between £850 and £1,950 on their finished pieces. Entry pieces start at £430. There’s no minimum spend, and payment plans are available.
At your consultation I’ll show you samples, walk you through how everything works, and help you decide if it feels right — no obligation.
Your Pet Is Perfect Just As They Are
Is your dog full of spirit? That’s no problem at all.
Many clients worry their pet won’t behave well enough for professional photographs, but our studio sessions don’t depend on perfect behaviour. Your pet is perfect exactly as they are.
I’ve worked with a wide range of personalities and temperaments. At our consultation I’ll learn about your pet in detail so I can design the session around their comfort and character — energetic, calm, or anything in between.
Why Pet Parents Choose Legacy Hound Studio
Clients choose Legacy Hound Studio because the sessions are dog-led, with extra care taken for anxious, reactive, or elderly dogs. Everything happens in a calm studio environment, so your dog doesn’t need to sit still or behave perfectly.
It’s a full-service experience from the first consultation through to finished artwork, focused on emotional storytelling that captures the true connection you share. The result is professional wall art crafted to last 30+ years.
These are the reasons clients value their experience with Luke.
We couldn’t recommend Luke more highly. He was gentle and understanding with our older dog, especially knowing we were in her final months. He went out of his way to capture the moments that mattered most.
