About Me

Hi, I’m Luke — the founder of Legacy Hound Studio.

I’ve lived with and worked with dogs for over 44 years, with a particular passion for Terriers. What started as a lifelong love for dogs has grown into a fine art photography career dedicated to capturing their unique souls and personalities.

At Legacy Hound Studio in Plymouth, I create luxury, heirloom-quality dog portraits in a calm, private studio. My approach is patient, respectful, and completely dog-led — because every dog deserves to be photographed with care and understanding.

My goal is simple: to create timeless fine art that celebrates the deep bond you share with your dog.

We’re really looking forward to your Discovery Call and hearing all about your dog.

  • Most sessions last between 45 and 75 minutes. We never rush — we work at your dog’s pace.

  • We specialise in working with strong characters and nervous dogs. Our studio is calm and quiet, and we have lots of experience (44 years with dogs). We’ll talk about the best approach during your discovery call.

  • We love it when owners join in — it’s a beautiful way to capture the special bond between you and your dog. We’ll create natural, relaxed photos together that celebrate that connection.

    That said, we also completely understand if you’d prefer to stay behind the camera. We’re equally happy focusing just on your dog.

  • I specialise in fine art dog photography and offer a variety of beautiful, heirloom-quality products — from canvases and framed prints to acrylics and more. These are designed to look stunning in your home and be cherished for generations.

  • We offer flexible pricing based on project type and complexity. After an initial conversation, we’ll provide a transparent quote with no hidden costs.
